accepted

I've been accepted to medical school!!

It's something I haven't really talked about on my blog because the process is so uncertain and with some setbacks a few months ago I didn't know if it would ever happen....but today I received the acceptance letter in the mail. Everything in my life is going to change come the middle of the summer when I move 10 hours away from here and start the long journey to becoming a doctor. All I know is that I'm so excited that I stuck it out after taking general chemistry when I wasn't sure if science was for me. It's been a long and trying road to get here, and it's not going to get easier but I'm excited that I've been given the opportunity to become a doctor.

    1. absolutely! getting into this school will make getting dressed interesting as you have to wear more business-y things, so that means skirts and heels! blogging is my hobby and I definitely hope to continue with it, it just probably won't be as intensive as it is currently.

      So excited to see what amazing business attire you put together! In Australia, only ER doctors and surgeons wear scrubs, on wards the MDs wear business attire. Is it the same here?

      Honestly, you should be so proud of yourself, what an amazing achievement!

  17. So funny story- I'm hitting a point in medical school where I have to dress like a grown up. (3rd year, AWESOME!) In my quest to not wear jeans and a tshirt every day- I found you! Just last week!

  20. Congrats!! I'm a second year medical student with a mean fashion streak and I LOVE reading your blog (My name is Frances so I felt an instant connection :). I'll be so interested to see how your fashion changes as you start school. I've found that fashion is tricky business when you go to class/study 12 hours some days and go to clinic other days, so maybe we can share tips!

    And who doesn't love stylish scrubs?! Bah just kidding. I currently work in an ER so I'm familiar with the frumpy dumpy scrub outfit :/ I've been trying to find more attractive ways to wear scrubs, so maybe you'll come up with some tips!
