the simplest

DSC01718 There aren't a ton of ways to mix up a wrap dress, and instead of trying to be super clever about it (like wearing a shirt as a scarf on top of it - no seriously, I've done that...), I just went with what felt right - simple jewelry, comfortable wedges, and shapewear that evens it all out ;)

    1. I tried on the sizes when I was at a Nordstrom last summer. I would advising going up a size!

  9. I'm thisclose to buying this dress as, like my last purchase of the year.

Honest thoughts on the length? We're the same height but I know I carry my height in my torso and I'm worried this will look way short on me. Did you get the hem let down?

    1. I think the length is great! I haven't done any alterations on this except to sew in a little hook to keep it closed at my bust (don't want to go around flashing my professors!). I did size up though because I felt it less restricting that way.

If you end up getting one, I hope you love it! Are you going to get a solid or a patterned one?

  23. Oh giiiirl this DVF dress is AMAZEBALLS. Although, I'm glad you mentioned that you wear some shapewear with it because I know that wrap dresses "should" look good on me (at least that's what magazines keep telling me based on my body type), but I think they look questionable. Maybe some shapewear is the key! I love this on you!

  25. This looks amazing on you! I have avoided wrap dresses because I felt like they showed all my lumps and bumps and underwear lines. I need to invest in some good shapewear because I think I am missing out!

  26. I love this. Simple, but so sharp and stylish. Sometimes I feel like people go overboard and lose the elegance of simplicity for the sake of making an interesting outfit post. You look great!

  32. I love the wrap dress.. That's kind of the point, I suppose, is the effortless "grab and go" of it all. I was flipping through some DVF wraps at NM Last Call this week trying to decide if I wanted a print or solid...still can't decide! You look lovely.

  33. I don't really have much to add from what you've been told over and over in previous comments, but you look stunning in this dress! I love that you kept it simple as well - they're my favorite kinds of outfits, and the look totally works for you.

  34. I just bought this dress at the outlets while on vacation! I love how versatile it will be, and boy is it ever soft. An investment, but something I think I'll own for years!
